Débarqué par le Andretti Green début juillet, il n’aura pas fallu longtemps à Christian Fittipaldi pour retrouver de l’embauche. Dès ce week-end à Montréal et jusqu’au terme de la saison il fera équipe avec Antonio Garcia sur la Coyote numéro 16 du Cheever Racing. Pour l’ancien pilote de F1 ce retour en Grand-Am ne se passe pas en terre inconnue, puisqu’il avait déjà officié au sein du Cheever Racing en 2006 et 2007.
